Set up a clear, front-facing portrait

  1. Include one adult face, looking straight at the camera.
  2. Hold the camera at eye level and keep your head level.
  3. Use soft, even light from in front of you.
  4. Keep your face relaxed, with your mouth gently closed.
  5. Keep hair and accessories away from the eyes and face outline.
  6. Avoid beauty filters, face reshaping, heavy retouching and extreme close-ups.

Keep camera distance consistent

The best photo for face analysis makes the landmarks easy to locate under repeatable conditions. Moving a camera very close changes apparent proportions through perspective. Take a photo from farther away and crop afterwards when possible. Use the same setup for comparisons; changing the lens or distance can change the reading even when your face has not changed.

Understand the automatic photo checks

The tool checks detected face count, face size and head pose. It cannot guarantee that a picture is unfiltered, evenly lit, current, or an unobstructed view. You remain responsible for choosing a suitable photo.

Fix rejected or unsupported images

Move into better light, face the camera directly, and keep your whole face inside the frame. Use JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB, with at least 256 pixels on each side and no more than 40 megapixels. Convert HEIC or another unsupported format before selecting it. If the browser cannot open the image, export a fresh supported copy and try again. Never rename an unsupported file extension as a substitute for converting the image.

Prepare a baseline before comparing scores

A smile, hairstyle or camera angle can improve a social photo while moving a geometry score in another direction. Use a relaxed, neutral photo for consistent measurement; choose personal or dating photos for the impression you want to give, not solely for this number.
